On June 21st 2010 ,many hundreds of people embraced the Old City of Jerusalem. Israelis and Palestinians as well as peace activists from all over the world walked hand in hand around the city walls. They stood shoulder to shoulder, sharing their wish for peace and their love for Jerusalem. The Old City as a whole is a sanctuary. It ought to be a freely accessible area within an undivided Jerusalem, capital of both Palestine and Israel and a center for the entire world.

 

Already four years in succession the “Jerusalem Hug” has been achieved. The year 2011 will witness the next “Jerusalem Hug”

on Sunday, July 3rd

Each year this event is mounted on a larger scale. The "“Jerusalem Hug” is intended to evolve into an all encompassing apotheosis for peace in 2012, where Palestinians and Israelis will be united in peace for all times to come.
